Retouching
At SMLXL we offer a professional retouching service for artists, illustrators and photographers.
The most common requests we fulfill are for colour balancing & file management or sensor/dust marks removal from D-SLR camera images. We also offer a comprehensive restoration service for vintage and damaged photographs.
We prepare many hand-worked art pieces for limited edition printing including a textured background cut-out service from originals on fibre-based media.
With all retouching work we would usually have a short consultation to view your work, determine what you would like done and then provide a quote on the estimated amount of time required to complete the job. It varies according to the complexity (we sometimes have to completely remove people from shots!) but often around $75 a hour - cheaper for volume and easy tasks.
